Grant from the Friedman Family Foundation Received

A grant from the Ronald and Susan Friedman Family Foundation has been received for the purchase of equipment to enhance the Meals on Wheels kitchen operation. The $17,762 grant will be used to purchase a new freezer, a holding oven, a Bermixer (hand mixer), and a vacuum packaging machine. With the recent expansion to five-day service, this equipment will increase the production capacity of the facility by providing additional food storage space, temporary food holding at safe temperatures, and the preservation of foods for future use.

State College Meals on Wheels thanks the Friedman Foundation for this generous grant that will improve our ability to provide nutritious home-delivered meals five days per week to our clients throughout the Centre Region.
